Due to Government's structured approach of liberalisation, deregulation and privatisation, the telecommunication industry has shown a tremendous growth which can easily be judged by reviewing the amount of foreign investments and the decreasing percentage of unemployment.
No doubt the industry has started helping the economy of Pakistan in a great manner and also providing the opportunity for the people of Pakistan to enhance their quality of lifestyle.
Besides being praised within the country, Pakistan Telecom policies have also been recognised by international telecom organisations. Conferring on 'G-Rex Award 2005' to PTA (Pakistan Telecommunication Authority) by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is an icon for international market's confidence in Pakistan Telecom Sector.
