The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has finalised the draft report for technical assistance (TA) loan for mega development projects in Karachi. "The consultants of ADB have completed the paper work on development projects in Karachi for TA loan and submitted a copy of the report with Sindh Government recently," sources in Sindh government told Business Recorder on Friday.
The finalisation of report will be followed by ADB review mission visit, which is expected here later this month.
The report is based on the feedback of concerned departments and surveys, conducted by ADB's consultants to assess the TA loan requirements and feasibility of projects, put forward by City District Government Karachi for this facility.
They also tried to assess the revenue generating potential of development projects so that the funds, to be utilised in the development projects could pay off the development funds.
ADB has offered $400 million technical assistance (TA) to City District Government Karachi to assist it in its efforts to meet the development challenges in Karachi.
Sources said that an important component of this facility is capacity building of officials of department, which are involved in carrying out development projects.
