In response to my letter M. Kabir Malik from Oxford, UK, has sent a few interesting English names which I wish to share with your readers. These are: - Longbottom, Mrs Sidebottom, Windbottom (was UK ambassador to USA), Higinbottom, Englebirdhamperding (famous English singer), Shwartzniggar (black niggar), Kitchen, Rice, Green, Black, Brown, Grave, Roundtree (black actor), Meadow, Bush, Boot... etc.
He further says that Irish people have proper names: Kennedy, O'connor, Clinton, Shinfein, Adams.
Scottish names are also proper names: Cambell (district Cambellpur), Sean Connery (actor), Sir Maclpine (building contractor).
