City District Government Hyderabad has declared an emergency in the district with immediate effect and asked heads of concerned departments to cancel leave of their staff members. Department heads were also asked to ensure availabi1ity of entire staff in offices so that relief and rescue work could be carried out in a smooth manner in case of any eventuality during heavy rains forecast by Meteorological Department in Hyderabad and its vicinity within next 24 hours.
The decision to declare an emergency was taken at a meeting held here on Thursday.
