Suspected militants fired five rockets on a military camp in the tribal area near the Afghan border early on Sunday, but there were no casualties, security officials said. The pre-dawn attack caused minor damage, and disrupted electricity to the small fort being used by paramilitary scouts as a base near Miranshah, local officials said.
The rocket barrage came two days after unknown gunmen killed nine people in South Waziristan area in attacks against tribal leaders who support the campaign against al Qaeda-linked insurgents.
