InvestCapital and Securities (Pvt) Ltd received the 'Best Equity Brokerage House in Pakistan' award for 2003-04 from the CFA Association of Pakistan. It had received the same price in 2002-03 also. Dr Ishrat Hussain, Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, presented the award to the CEO of the company, Nusrat Yar Ahmed.
The CFA Association of Pakistan (CFAAP) was previously known as 'Pakistan Chapter of Investment Professionals' (PCIP). This is an association of finance professionals.
The award was initiated in 2002-03, and is based on survey conducted by CFAAP with financial institutions in Pakistan stock market. The Equity Research carried 50 percent weightage. Equity sales carried 25 percent weightage, and trade execution had 25 percent weightage.
