On a surprise visit, the Interior Secretary (Sindh) has sacked some Passport Officials due to negligence of their duties. It is a laudable action of the respected Secretary since the way of working in government offices is not hidden to anyone.
The usual grievances / complaints facing the general public from the government offices include late arrival of officers and staff in offices,using delaying tactics in genuine and normal work, creating hindrance, corruption, rude attitude and many more.
On my recent visit to a government office (despite having an appointment with the concerned officer), I waited quite a long time for his coming in the office. I also found many staff absent from their seat and some were engaged in frivolous talking or sitting idle.
It is imperative for Interior Secretaries as well as Chief Ministers of all the four provinces to pay more surprise visits to each and every government offices and take coercive measures on the spot to eradicate public complaints / grievances in a bid to make the prevailing working system commendable.
