Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Secretary Information Tariq Azeem Khan and Additional Secretary Information Syed Mehmood Hashmi have congratulated Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman and Kazi Asad on their election as President and Secretary General of the APNS. In a message they said the journalism was considered the fourth pillar of a democratic state and added that PML would continue its support for the promotion of free media.
The PML leaders said the national media was constantly playing a positive role in highlighting the genuine issues and suggesting options for their resolution. They said the freedom of press was fundamental right of that well-respected profession and added the PML would ensure sanctity of that profession.
