The School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of Johns Hopkins University is holding a daylong conference on 'Reforming Education in Pakistan: Constraints and Opportunities' on April 4. The conference will start with introductory remarks by Ambassador Jehangir Karamat. Speakers including prominent educationists and scholars across the world in the panel-I would speak on various topics concerning changing educational landscape, educational standard at state schools in Pakistan, alternative curriculum models, religious school enrolment in Pakistan and others.
Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Dr Hamida Khuhro would also speak in the panel-II that would discuss Government reforms in curricula, teachers' competency and training, efforts of private sector.
