imageAustralia’s legendary leg-spinner Shane Warne has said that Pakistan’s bowling attack is one of the best in the world and poses a serious threat for the hosts England in the remaining three Test matches of the four-match series.

“Pakistan is going to be tough to beat, if they make runs. They have a good attack. They have a lot of variety in their attack, three left-armers, and [leg-spinner] Yasir Shah, who is bowling really well and is coming off a 10-for at Lord's,” said the leg-spin maestro while interacting with the media on Thursday.

“So his confidence will be sky-high and Manchester is a great place to bowl. He is going to be a handful and England need to get some top-order runs. If [Alastair] Cook and [Joe] Root miss out, someone else has to put their hand up and, at the moment, no one is really firing.”

Shane Warne said this while participating in a charity golf challenge along with Sir Ian Botham. The cricket legends played 18 holes in 18 different counties of Britain. The charity raised by the golf will help to fund particular projects relating to chronic disease and other challenges that young group of people face.

The two legends travelled the country in two helicopters, starting the challenge in County Durham and finishing at The Belfry. The duo expressed their thoughts to foreign media (ssn) during golf challenge, on current Pakistan-England test series especially on the second match starting today at Old Trafford.

“One of [James] Vince, [Jonny] Bairstow, one of those guys has to make runs. Having Ben Stokes back is going to be a huge difference, because he is just a class act,” said the legendary leg-spinner.

Botham was positive that with the return of James Anderson, England can overcome the defeat at Lord's and level the series. He appreciated the likely changes to the selection process.

However, Warne was impressed by Pakistan in the first Test and thinks England must improve their batting if they are to make it 1-1.
