The Two-Factor verification system makes your life and precious data less hackable, normally a code from an app is texted to you, which is crucial, but obviously somewhat time consuming for some users, Google has figured this out and has simplified its verification process.
According to The Guardian, the search engine is attempting to make the whole process less irritating and much faster, all thanks to a push notification which users can simply accept to login.
The change, means that when a user now tries to sign into a Google account with two-step verification enabled, they will be sent a notification asking if they’re trying to login.. A simple tap on the option "Yes, allow sign-in" quickly authenticates the account.
The new system would soon be available for both Android and iOS, for the iPhone users they need the Google Search app to be installed, now
The Two-factor authentication as reports explained has its own set of advantages, as it adds an extra layer of security to users' Google Apps accounts by requiring them to enter a ‘verification code,’ along with their username and password when signing into their account, therefore preventing unauthorized access if someone obtains a user password.

Type ‘myaccount.google.com’ Account > Sign-in & security > Signing in to Google > 2-step Verification.
