Russian construction and engineering firm Interenergoservice is to evacuate all its remaining workers in Iraq after two employees were killed in an attack early Wednesday near Baghdad, its management told AFP.
"The decision has been taken to evacuate all our staff" in Iraq, acting director Alexander Rybinsky said.
Two Interenergoservice workers along with two Iraqis were killed when gunmen attacked a bus carrying employees of the Russian company south of Baghdad near a power plant being rebuilt by the firm.
Another six Russian employees were wounded in the attack, the company director said.
Interenergoservice already had one worker killed in Iraq just over a fortnight ago.
