The Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) has decided to launch a three-day mass contact campaign against the US military action and attacks on holy sites in Iraq.
The MMA will observe May 28 as "Solidarity Day with the Iraqis" and stage a rally here on Friday, which will be addressed by the alliance's top leadership.
The local council of the alliance met here on Tuesday and decided to hold meetings in mosques and Imambargahs.
MNA Mian Aslam, who chaired the meeting, accused that the US and its allies had thrust an illegal and immoral war on Iraq to subjugate the entire world.
He said that the US had bypassed the UN Security Council and was committing crimes against humanity. He asked the international community to expel the US from the UN for violating its charter and try President Bush and British Prime Minister Tony Blair for war crimes.
"It is highly embarrassing that Islamic countries are silent spectators of the killing of innocent Iraqis," the meeting said.
The meeting called upon the Muslim leaders and the developed world opposing the war to wake up and do something for resisting the US aggression.
