Pakistan will now be seen playing a Test series against England on their home soil, Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq expressing confidence ahead of his side's upcoming tour to England.
According to local media report, “Nothing is easy in life, you need to work hard to achieve something,” said Misbah before his flight. “It won’t be easy against England but the way this team has played and performed in the last five years has made me extremely optimistic. We’re a determined team and we now have another challenge. If we can play with the same determination, we will perform well.”
Misbah said Pakistan teams had always performed well in England and this time too they will not disappoint their fans.
“Yes, the tour is a challenging one, but these challenges always help us to raise our game and win.
However, Pakistan will play four Tests, five ODIs and one T20 on the tour besides two ODI matches against Ireland, the first Test starting from July 14.
