Brigadier Shahbaz Azam has assumed the charge of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) here on Thursday.
The post was lying vacant from November 2003 after retirement of Brigadier Waseem Zafar.
The chief engineer, Adibul Hassan has been serving, as acting CEO Iesco.
Brigadier Shahbaz is a graduate of National Defence College, Islamabad. He has 30 years of vast experience to his credit.
He has served on various operational, command, staff, administrative and managerial posts both at home and abroad.
