On the directive of the Minister for Labour, Transport and Industries, Muhammad Adil Siddiqui, to accelerate the development work at Site and Super Highway, the Managing Director, Sindh Industrial Trade Estate (SITE), Gul Muhammad Rind visited the site and held an on spot meeting.
He reviewed the progress of the ongoing work in the meeting, which was also attended by members of the Development Committee, Zubair Motiwala, Arshad Tanveer and Rehman Memon.
Presenting the progress report, the consultant of the project, Asim Usmani stated that so far 1,150 plots had been allotted in phase-II and development work had been in progress while, 75 percent work on three major roads at the cost of Rs 150 million had been completed.
He further mentioned that about 25 percent work on the secondary roads had also been completed. However, the contractor pointed out that litigation on some of the areas and delay in removal of the hillock were the main obstacles in the timely completion of the scheme.
On this, Site MD issued instructions on the spot for removing the obstacles and timely completion of the scheme so that the possession of the plots could be handed over to the allottees to start the industrial process on time.
