Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) has termed the detention of the nuclear scientists and officials of the Khan Research laboratory as betrayal with the nation and termed it a sell out of the nuclear programme to America. Nuclear Programme of Pakistan is guarantee of country's security and sovereignty.
Muslim League has launched protest all over Punjab against the detention of the nuclear scientists and decided to continue protest until scientists would be released with honour and dignity and to create awareness among people about the importance of the nuclear programme of Pakistan for the security and sovereignty of the country.
A Protest camp was organised in front of Rawalpindi Islamabad Press Club which was attended by a huge number of senior party leaders including Raja Zafarul Haq, Syed Zafar Ali Shah, Mushadullah Khan, Memoona Hashmi, Siddiqul Farooq, Kh Saad Rafiq, Chaudhry Tanveer, Raja Sikandar.
The PML-N leaders and activists condemned the detention of nuclear scientists and stated that present government in order to justify its illegal rule has put entire country at stake.
They said that any sort of sell out of nuclear programme would result in destruction of Pakistan and would weaken Pakistan internationally.
Expressing complete solidarity with the families of the scientists and officials of the KRL, PML leaders said that they are not alone in their agony and entire
nation is sad over the shameful act of the present government.
Nawaz Sharif, they said has hold nuclear tests just to give every enemy a befitting reply and keep India and all other enemies of Pakistan away from the frontiers of the country.
Nuclear explosion of May 18 has secured Pakistan from all external enemies and gave an honourable position in the comity of the nations.
Present government, PML leaders said has endangered the Pakistan by detaining the nuclear scientists who are heroes of Pakistan and have provided Pakistan a solid stand by working hard.
Musharraf government just to please its foreign masters and make sure the existence in power is playing with Pakistan.
It is point of concern for the patriotic people of Pakistan that a military dictator is causing harm to nation and is playing a nefarious game with entire Pakistan, the PML leaders said.
While addressing the participants of the protest camp, the Chairman of PML-N Raja Zafarul Haq has said that it is high time for the patriotic forces of Pakistan to get united and save Pakistan from the disaster.
"The government has in fact sold out the nuclear programme and has bent before India to sell Kashmir to them", he added.
"We will protest all over country against the detention of the nuclear scientists and deviation from the Pakistan's stand on Kashmir", he added.
Meanwhile, PML-N would hold protest rallies, demonstration and marches all over Punjab province against the detention of the nuclear scientist, these include protest demonstrations in Lahore, Multan, Bahawalpur and other big cities of the province.
