A bomb exploded near main pipeline of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited crossing Mauza Kakas Uchsharif. However, no damage was reported to the pipeline.
Deputy Inspector General Police, Bahawalpur Range, Pervez Akber Lodhi, District Police Officer, Bahawalpur, Sikandar Hayat and Assistant Superintendent Police, AhmedpurEast, Captain Mohammad Asim Khan along with heavy contingents of police rushed the scene and cordoned the area.
According to details, the bomb exploded at 9:40 am. It was a locally made bomb weighing one-kg of explosive materials and kept in a polythene bag.
