The best project presentation ceremony of 58th Engineering Course was held at the College of Aeronautical Engineering, PAF Academy Risalpur on Sunday.
Air Vice Marshal Iftikhar Gul, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Engineering), was the chief guest.
Air Commodore Salman Absar, Commandant College of Aeronautical Engineering, delivered the inaugural address.
Highlighting the importance of the project term of the cadets he said, "it provided a wholesome challenge to each cadet in his final phase of training and called for a sense of analytical thinking, detailed planning, surveying, risk taking, designing, manufacturing and finally writing a report."
The best project in airspace engineering was done by aviation cadet Wing Under Officer Mohtashim for studying and upgrading the measuring system of ATAR Engine Test Cell and the best project award in the avionics engineering was given to NUST cadet Zeeshan for devising a wireless explosive detection system radio-controlled through computer.
Both the cadets made presentations on their respective projects before the august gathering.
The chief guest awarded trophies, cash prizes and merit certificates to aviation cadet Wing Under Officer Mohtashim and NUST cadet Zeeshan for their outstanding achievements.
In his address Iftikhar Gul congratulated the ward winners and emphasised upon them to achieve the highest standard of professionalism.
Earlier, on arrival at the PAF Academy, Risalpur, the chief guest was received by Air Vice Marshal Abdus Sami Toor, AOC, PAF Academy, and Air Commodore Salman Absar.
