KARACHI: Three ships C.V Maersk Savannah, C.V MSC Rita and M.V Soldoy carrying containers and coal were berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Meanwhile another container ships CMA CGM Maupassant also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was managed at the prot at 53% on Wednesday where a total of eight ships namely, C.V Maersk Savannah, C.V MSC Rita, C.V Maersk Memphis, C.V CMA CGM La Traviata, M.V Soldoy, M.V KM Tokyo, M.T Shalamar and M.T Beech Galaxy were occupied PQA berths to load/offload containers, coal, soya bean seeds, furnace oil and palm oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Oil tanker Shalamar and containers ships CMA CGM La Traviata sailed out to sea on thursday morning, while edible oil carrier Beech Galaxy is expected to sail on someday afternoon.
Three ships C.V CMA CGM Maupassant, M.V Diamond Sun and M.T Bunga Alamanda scheduled to load/offload containers, cement and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo terminal respectively on Thursday, while four more ships M.T Okyroe, M.T Asmaa, C.V CSAV Toconao and M.V VSG Dream are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday.
