imageKARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued notices to Director General Rangers Sindh and Inspector General Police Sindh, to submit their comments on the different petitions filed for the recovery of missing persons.

SHC bench headed by Justice Irfan Saadat was hearing the petitions filed by the family members of missing persons who moved the court against law enforcers for illegally detaining their relatives.

Mah-e-Jabeen, the mother of missing man Nafees Abbas who has been missing since 23rd October 2015, requested the court to direct the respondents to produce her son before the court.

Similarly, Zohra Bibi moved the court for the recovery of her husband Khan Badshah, whose whereabouts have been unknown since 25th August last year.

In another petition, Akbar Ali, the brother of Muhammad Mohsin who has been missing since 18th December 2015, prayed to the court to direct the respondents to produce his brother before the court.

The petitioners citied DG Rangers Sindh, IGP Sindh and home secretary as respondents and submitted that their relatives are innocent and should be released from the custody of law enforcers.

After the initial hearing, the court issued notices to Attorney General and respondents to file their comments on 8th February.
