Former Pakistan opening batsman and ex- coach Mohsin Khan is confident that Pakistan is capable of winning the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
According to local media reports Mohsin Khan said, “The young team and its young captain need to be applauded for their steely resolve against Sri Lanka despite missing seniors and key players for the assignment”.
The erstwhile coach also showered praise on the skipper saying. “Azhar has certainly taken his game to a new level despite being a player of Misbah’s mould previously. You can see that he is keen to improvise, show aggression and marshal his troops pro-actively. These are things which Misbah didn’t bring to his game and Azhar certainly has a bright future ahead as a captain”.
However, Pakistan team have bunch of good cricketers Mohsin commended and said Anwar Ali and Mohammad Rizwan are the real reason why Pakistan looked so good in the field. He further added, “Sarfraz is an exceptional cricketer who is becoming a world-class batsman and has allowed Pakistan to believe that they can win from any situation”.
After the victory in ODI five match series in Sri Lanka, Pakistan has moved into eight positions in the ICC ODI Team Rankings. However, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will play two Twenty20 matches on July 30 and August 1, both to be played in Colombo. This will also wrap Pakistan tour to Sri Lanka.
