ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Monday urged Bahria University to present recommendations for formulation of Maritime Policy to ensure country's security and defence in the prevailing circumstances.
He was talking to Rector Bahria University Vice Admiral (R) Tanveer Faiz who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr, said a President House statement.
Appreciating the contributions of the institute, the President stated that Bahria University was an important educational institution of the country which, besides carrying out research on Maritime Security, was imparting education in multiple disciplines including engineering and social sciences.
He also appreciated Bahria University for reserving two per cent seats for disabled students and offering scholarships to its meritorious students and financial assistance to needy students.
