PARIS: Edinson Cavani, David Luiz, Lucas Moura and Thiago Motta will all miss Paris Saint-Germain's French Cup semi-final against St Etienne on Wednesday, according to coach Laurent Blanc.
Blanc said that despite Cavani having been taken off during Sunday's 3-1 league victory over Marseille with a fatigued thigh, "he won't be fit for tomorrow".
"I should have taken him off at half-time," Blanc lamented, saying he had come to an agreement with the Uruguayan striker that he could play 15-20 minutes of the second-half.
The absence of David Luiz and Thiago Motta had been predicted, both having come off injured in the Marseille match with thigh injuries.
Brazilian Luiz will out for a month and the Brazil-born Italian two weeks, Blanc said, adding that the latter's participation in the Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona on April 15 would be touch and go.
PSG later announced that Lucas, who has been missing for two months, will also sit out the game but should be back for Saturday's League Cup final against Bastia.
St Etienne welcome back two top players from suspension in Jeremy Clement and Max-Alain Gradel for the PSG match, while Romain Hamouma and Florentin Pogba have been back in training.
