imageISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bokhari on Wednesday again deferred question relating to a list of Chief Justices of Pakistan retired since 1985 along details of pension, allowance and other fringe benefits due to non-presence of Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP).

The Chairman Senate in response to a question by PPP senator Saeed Ghani summoned the AGP before the House on Wednesday to explain the implementation of Article 19-A.

Minister for Law and Justice and Human Rights Pervaiz Rashid informed the House that AGP could not come today in the House as he was busy in the Apex court in case relating to local bodies elections.

"The AGP will go to Election Commission of Pakistan to appraise the court about local bodies' elections and has sought permission that he cannot appear before the House today," the minister said and added that AGP would appear before the august House.

Deferring the question, the Chairman again summoned the AGP and observed it would not be appropriate to take up the question in his absence.
