With the World Cup 2015 is only a week away and the preparation is at the peak, the cricket lovers are all geared up to witness the mega event of cricket. ICC has promised to make this event bigger than ever.
Few things to look forward to in this World Cup 2015 includes the over enthusiastic fans from around the globe. A group of fans from Pakistan and other nations have travelled to the venue to support their teams in an upcoming World Cup.
According to ICC Cricket, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be the most comprehensive Television broadcast in the history of ICC Cricket World Cups with state of the art technology being used, more innovations than ever before, the largest potential audience of alltime and the most exciting commentating line-up for any World Cup so far.
The ICC will also be launching an all-new Online Match Centre with integrated match highlight videos, pictures and will also feature the fastest live scoring online.
This world cup will allow teams to take two power plays rather than three. The first covering the opening ten overs, when only two fielders are allowed outside the ring. The second can be taken by the batting side before the 40th over.
According to ESPN, previously the white ball which is prone to degradation, was changed after 34 overs but this time ICC will provide two new balls from either end to make batting more challenging for openers. This will be the first World Cup since 1992 to use a new ball from either end.
New and enthusiastic players will be making their World Cup debut this year. Indian opener Rohit Sharma, England’s Moeen Ali, Australia’s Steve Smith and Mitchell Starc, Pakistan’s Yasir Shah and Sohaib Maqsood and New Zealand’s Corey Anderson might take the centre stage in this World Cup.
The most important rule which has been introduced for the upcoming World Cup 2015, this time there ‘can’ be two winners claiming the same trophy. As the method of determining which team would progress in the event of a tie during the knockout stages, ICC introduced super over, but this time Super Overs has been dropped even for the final, where a tie will result in the trophy being shared by the both teams.
