Shehroz Sabzwari is another Pakistani actor who is all set to make his debut in Indian film industry with an action thriller ‘Luv Story’. Following the footsteps of several other Pakistani stars, Shehroz Sabzwari is also set to try his luck in highly-competitive Bollywood film industry.
He will make his Bollywood debut in Bengali director Riingo Banerjees’s ‘Luv’s Story’. The film’s plot revolves around three friends; Luv (Sabzwari), Madan Chetri aka MC (Aryann) and Kushali (Bag) who grow up in an orphanage. Zarina’s character in the film adopts Luv after her son’s death. After a murder takes place, Luv becomes the prime suspect and the plot thickens.
Shahroz belongs to the very respectable family of Pakistan, he is the son of veteran TV/Film actor Behroze Sabzwari and nephew of legendry actor-director Javed Sheikh, will play a lead role in the film, which also features several Bengali stars including Aryann, Mukesh Tiwari, Zarina Wahab, Riya Sen, Bidita Bag, Locket Chatterjee and others.
According to media reports Jr. Sabzwari said, “It was always my dream to join Bollywood and I hope India welcomes me with open arms. It took me a second to give my nod after hearing the script. There are many shades to Luv’s character”.
“Riingo liked my look and thought I suited the character. However, I wasn't instantly cast. They were looking at other options and about a month after I sent over audition tapes from Pakistan that [my wife] Syra helped me record, I learn that I had been selected for the role. It's truly an honour because the project will be commercial entertainment without losing the essence of the art of filmmaking,” he added.
Shahroz confirmed that he would be travelling to India in early January to do press conferences and shooting for the movie will start towards the end of that month.
