SUKKUR: Sindh Prisons Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wasan visited the Central Jail Sukkur to review the security arrangements here on Wednesday.
During his visit to Central Jail the minister reviewed security arrangements and went round different barracks and protection wall.
On the occasion, he also enquired the prisoners regarding food quality and medical facilities being provided to them.
Manzoor Hussain Wasan directed the jail officials to beef up security of the jail.
Talking to mediamen, Minister said that Peshawar school attack was a national tragedy and such attacks could not affect the resolve of Pakistani nation and armed forces, adding that terrorists would be chased and defeated in all corners of the country. He also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives.
To a question, the Minister said that latest and modern technology was being provided for ensuring maximum security, protection and surveillance of the Central Prison, while the jail staff was also being equipped with latest equipment including bullet-proof vests and helmets.
