ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Saturday urged Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah to ensure a thorough probe into the killing of Jeevan Arain, a journalist working with Dharti TV in Gambat, Khairpur.
The minister, in a letter addressed to the Sindh Chief Minister, strongly condemned the target killing of the journalist and conveyed sentiments of the journalist community.
He also apprised the chief minister about the demand of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ) of stern action against the perpetrators of the tragic incident.
"I shall appreciate, if the incident is thoroughly probed and the outcome is shared at the earliest," he wrote.
