imageISLAMABAD: Former foreign secretary Najamuddin Sheikh has said that current visit of king of Bahrain Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa to Pakistan will further enhance trade relations between the two countries.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, he attached great importance to Pak-Gulf relations as millions of overseas Pakistanis are working in the Gulf countries.

He said that many Pakistanis are serving in Bahraini civil security forces and Bahrain government also lauds their services.

Najamuddin Sheikh said that there are vast opportunities for Bahrain's investors to invest in various sectors in Pakistan.

Former secretary petroleum Gulfraz Ahmed said that Pakistan should send its skilled manpower to Bahrain and other Gulf countries which would also reduce ratio of unemployment in the country.

Analysts Dr Rashid Ahmed Khan has said Pakistan and Bahrain are enjoying closed bilateral relations and termed the Bahraini King's visit to Islamabad as significant especially in current scenario.

To a question, he said that incumbent government wants to improve country's economy and trying to attract foreign investors from across the world including Gulf countries.

He said that Pakistan and Gulf countries are cooperating in many fields including trade, investment and defence.

Analyst Col. Sultan Sikander Ghuman (Retd) said Bahraini King's visit to Pakistan is strategic in nature and it will have far-reaching results.
