imageKARACHI: Munazza Khan of St. Lawrence Government Girls Degree College secured first position in the HSC Part- II Science Pre-Engineering Group Annual Examinations 2013.

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) notified the result on Thursday.

Munazza Khan had got 987 marks out of a total of 1,100.

Zain Nasir of the Adamjee Government Science College with 986 marks remained second.

Rimsha Muhammad Naeem was declared third. And her marks were 980.

The fourth position went to Yousra Rauf of BAMM PECHS Government College for Women with 978 marks.

Her college mate Hira Aleem Siddiqui remained fifth with 977 marks while sixth position was claimed by Muhammad Yasir who got 976 marks.

According to statistics, a total of 27,264 candidates appeared in the examinations and of these 16,698 remained successful with a pass percentage of 61.25.

Of the total candidates 1,640 candidates were placed in A-I grade and 3,173 in A grade.

The number of candidates who got B grade was 4,064 and 4,480 C grade.

As many as 3,114 candidates cleared their examination with D grade and 227 with E grade.

A BIEK statement said that the marks statements will be issued after two weeks from their respective institutions.

The BIEK also announced the result of HSC Part- II Science General Group Annual Examinations 2013 and Home Economics Group Part- I Annual Examinations 2013.
