UMERKOT: Militants blasted a gas pipeline carrying gas to Punjab with explosives suspending supply to various areas here on Saturday.
According to details, unknown miscreants had planted explosive material with 30 inch diameter gas pipeline near Umerkot area of Sindh which exploded with a big bang.
As a result of blast a portion of gas pipeline was destroyed.
Due to disruption, gas supply to CNG stations in various cities of Punjab including Lahore, Sahiwal, Sheikhupura, Multan, Gujranwala and Gujrat was suspended.
Shortage of gas also halted supply to industries of Lahore Zone one.
