KARACHI: The Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) has launched a new enhanced `Priority Banking offering' for Pakistan's increasingly sophisticated and discerning banking customers.

A statement here on Tuesday said that the new service for customers with high investible assets combines highly customized financial solutions covering banking, borrowing, protection and investments, with exclusive new products such as the Visa Platinum Debit and Credit Cards.

It also includes a range of International banking services and exclusive lifestyle privileges for priority customers and their families.

The statement said that a key part of the new Priority Banking offering in Pakistan is an exclusive rewards programme, which recognizes customers for all aspects of their banking relationship, as well as high levels of service to meet customers' needs for exclusivity, expertise and responsiveness.

It said that priority banking customers will be serviced by a dedicated relationship management team comprising qualified and trained relationship managers (RMs) backed by experienced product experts in the areas of wealth management, including investments, foreign exchange, insurance and lending.

Additionally, customers can access the full range of services from dedicated support at Priority Banking centers in select branches in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar & Quetta, a 24/7 call centre dedicated to Priority customers and other touch points around Standard Chartered's international footprint.

The Pakistan launch of Priority Banking was led by Steve Bertamini, Group Executive Director and CEO Consumer Banking.

This launch is part of a Priority Banking global roll out by the Standard Chartered Group in key markets including China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Singapore, UAE and Korea.

Steve Bertamini, Group Executive Director and CEO, Consumer Banking, Standard Chartered Bank, said `Our Consumer Bank has delivered strong early results as it stepped up its transition from a product-led to a customer-focused organisation. We have the right strategy in place, the right team and a strong foundation from which to achieve our ambition of becoming the world's best international consumer bank. Improving performance has allowed us to invest to sharpen customer service, strengthen our distribution network, and hire more front-line staff. As a Bank we are very focused on redefining our customers' experience and providing them with more value by developing distinctive customer value propositions. I am delighted that our Pakistan customers can now enjoy our differentiated Priority Banking offering'.

Mohsin Nathani, Chief Executive, Standard Chartered Pakistan, added that the re-launch of Standard Chartered's Priority Banking symbolises the re-energising of the Consumer Banking Business as a whole. Priority Banking's highly customer-focused approach will lead to more holistic relationships with our customers, with more sophisticated product development and a balanced approach to risk management.
