Coronavirus situation: K-P govt could seek help from armed forces if needed: Wazir

(Karachi) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister's aide Ajmal Wazir has said that the provincial government will seek help and support from armed forces to fight coronavirus pandemic whenever needed. He added the armed forces and civil administration are working together to battle the deadly disease.

Addressing a press briefing in Peshawar on Monday, he said, "We will require Pakistan Army's services keeping in view the demand of the situation."

He maintained that the K-P government introduced relaxations in order to assist businesses but people have failed to follow SOPs.

Wazir said, "If standard operating procedures are not followed, the government will take action."

He mentioned people are not taking the coronavirus outbreak seriously and it is feared that the cases will further rise in the country.
