Bomb Disposal Squad officials receive cash prize for defusing 80 bombs this year in Karachi

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police, Sindh, Fayyaz Ahmed Laghari gave away cash prizes to the officials of bomb disposal squad on Tuesday for their best performance during the year 2012. The bomb disposal squad defused 80 bombs from January 01 to November 30 this year.

The bomb disposal squad’s officials who received cash prize include 14 Sub Inspectors, 10 Assistant Sub Inspectors, 12 Head Constables and 15 Constables. The cash prizes ranged from Rs.5000/- to 25000/- as per rank and performance.

Speaking at a simple ceremony attended by IG Special Branch, DIG Headquarters, Sindh, DIG Finance, SSPs and others, IGP Laghari appreciated the bomb disposal squad officials for their courage and saving the life of citizens.
