At least one person died and four others including peace committee member were critically injured in bomb blast here on Thursday. Police said that unidentified miscreants had planted remote controlled explosive device by roadside in Doug Darra area of Upper Dir which exploded when peace committee members were passing by scene.
One passer-by died in the blast while committee volunteer among four other were injured in the incident. The injured were rushed to hospital for treatment.
The security forced cordoned off the area after the blast and started search operation but no arrest could be made.
