ANKARA: Turkey will see additional measures to boost growth and support consumers, an aide to President Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday, a day after the government announced plans to ease the strain of credit on consumers.
"The measures taken are appropriate," Cemil Ertem told broadcaster NTV. "We will see more measures against declining economic growth in the near future and to support consumers, small businesses and small manufacturers."
Prime Minister Binali Yildirim on Wednesday said Turkey would increase the number of number of installments allowed for buying on credit or repaying credit cards, part of package the government hopes will spur consumption.
