Apple’s latest flagship iPhone 7 is the most talked about smartphone right now, coming out with much needed water and dust resistance and much improved camera, the Apple’s golden child has been quick in grabbing attention.
However, the most advanced iPhone has its own set of issues or one could say problems, particularly the iPhone 7's home button doesn't seem to work the way it should, working more like a touch-screen than a button, as it requires direct skin contact in order to know that it's being pressed.
Apple released its latest flagship, to mixed reviews despite having a number of hardware improvements i.e. faster processor, newer operating system, a higher quality camera and improved battery, the customers were not too pleased with Apple’s decision to kill the headphone jack.
The Home Button issue was first highlighted by Myke Hurley co-founder Relay FM. He pointed out that the button on iPhone 7 is not able to recognise touch if there is any material, like a T-shirt, between finger and the button, reported Verge.
Whereas, MacRumors reported, that the i7 Home Button is not responsive to even the touch screen friendly gloves, which works well on iPhone predecessors i.e. 6S, Plus.
The issue is particularly troublesome for anyone who needs to wear gloves during winter, as these gloves won’t be able to activate the Home Button unless they are removed, reported Tech Times. However, there were mixed reports on the issue, as iMore, showed a pair of working gloves and users on Twitter said that their conductive gloves worked well.
