VEHARI: District Coordination Officer Ali Akbar Bhatti said that Rs 1 million fine was imposed on 1,145 shopkeepers over profiteering during Ramzan. Addressing the district price control committee, the DCO said that illegal profiteering would not be tolerated. He directed the price magistrates to take initititives to control the profiteering.
He urged the traders to ensure implementation of rates fixed by district administration and display rate lists at proper place.
