imageLAHORE: Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) chairman Siddiq-ul-Farooq Tuesday said the country could not handle the challenges of poverty, diseases and other social evils without economic development.

Talking to APP, he said the PML-N government had been serving people selflessly and this journey would continue in future also.

He said that the Panama papers scandal was a plot against Asian nations including Pakistan to deprive them of visionary leadership as well as economic development.

He said, this was a fact that the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was the only political leader of the country who had the vision for the development of the country in the changing times.

Welcoming the stance of Prime Minister in his address to the parliament on Monday, he said that fake stories were spread against the PM and his family pertaining to his tax returns, adding that he presented the documents in the parliament to justify his statement.

"Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had been striving to steer the country out of crises since 1990," he added.

He said that agenda of the anti-Pakistan forces and that of Imran Khan for his personal political aims had been exposed.

Flaying Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan for playing into the hands of forces hatching conspiracies against Pakistan, Siddiq said the present situation created through Panama leaks would completely diffuse and Pakistan would keep marching on the path to economic development with the support of China, Turkey and other friendly countries.

Siddiq said no one could doubt prime minister's honesty as he is a straightforward person and such leadership is essential for progress of the country. He said the country made tremendous progress under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif and the people coming from other countries are amazed at the change in the country.

He said that projects of buses and trains are as important as schools and hospitals.

Replying to a question, he said that the PML-N government had adopted the golden principle of hard work, honesty and dedication to move forward. He said that such a prosperous Pakistan will be created in accordance with the vision of the Quaid-e-Azam, where there is supremacy of law and justice and equal rights are available to all citizens without any discrimination.
