seven_killed_copy_copy_copyKARACHI: At least seven people were electrocuted including five women of a family in different rain-related incident in various parts of the city on Saturday, Chiipa ambulance services said.

They said that, 28-year-old Nadia, wife of Imran, five-year-old Mehak (daughter of Nadia), 38-year-old Anilla wife of Majeed, 25- year-old Azra wife of Pervez and six-year-old Sidra, daughter of Minhaj were passing through Chonaa Pati near Ranchor Line area where they received electric shock by current-tinted water and died on the spot.

While 30-year-old Naveed also met the same fate in Malir Model Colony. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico- legal formalities and later handed over to the heirs. In another incident, 25-year-old Arif received electric shock at Haroonabad and died on the spot. His body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
