imageISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has made a net collection of over Rs 229 billion in November as against the net collection of Rs 180 billion made during same month of last year, thus showing an increase of 27 percent.

The target for the current month has therefore been achieved, said a statement issued by the FBR here on Monday.

The statement added that it is expected that the collection would further increase when the final figures are received.

The revenue collection trend during the month of November 2015 further reinforces, consolidates and even surpasses the marked improvement shown in the first month of the second quarter of the current year over the trend in the first quarter of the current financial year and augurs well for the efforts of FBR towards achievement of the assigned revenue targets.

From July, 2015 to November, 2015, FBR made a net collection of over Rs 1044 billion as against net collection of Rs 904 billion made last year resulting in an increase of 15 percent.

Upto October 2015 this increase was at 12 percent which is after having issued refunds of Rs 36 billion as against Rs 34 billion issued during first five months of last year.
