imagePakistan wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed clears the controversy surrounding his exclusion from the playing XI in the recently concluded T20 series in Sri Lanka. Captain Shahid Afridi also explains why he wasn’t part of the final squad in Sri Lanka.

While returning back to Pakistan, Sarfaraz said in an interview, “I am just happy that the team won the T20 series and improved their international ranking. I have no issues if I am rested because of team requirements. I am not a part of the tour selection committee. My job is to give my best performances whenever I play,” Indian media reported.

While ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi said that Sarfaraz is a vice captain and is very important part of Pakistan national cricket team. He told famous commentator Dean Jones that Sarfaraz is match winner and he will get chance in next series.

While talking to a local media, One Day International team captain Azhar Ali said that dropping Sarfraz Ahmed was a tough decision but decision of coach and captain must be respected.
