ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Friday unanimously expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, who died on January 23.
Leader of the House Raja Zafar-ul-Haq moved the resolution. The House unanimously accorded approval to the resolution which says the late King was a visionary leader, a sincere and reliable friend of Pakistan. It said the Saudi King occupied a special place and held in high esteem in the Muslim Ummah and the world. Pakistani people will always cherish the warm support, King extended to Pakistan in every difficult hour. The late King would be remembered for ever for his efforts to promote inter-faith harmony.
Speaking on the occasion, Raja Zafar-ul-Haq conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and the people of Saudi Arabia.
