Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan is all set to make her big move in Bollywood, she has been roped in against ‘King Khan’ in his upcoming flick ‘Raees’. It was quite an unusual choice by the makers of ‘Raees’ to drop off leading ladies of Bollywood including Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Kriti Sanon.
Director Rahul Dholakia says the unusual choice has nothing to do with Mahira’s popularity in India post the telecast of the Pakistani serial ‘Humsafar’. He said, “Mahira’s popularity is beyond question. But that is only an added bonus. We signed her because the film is set in a Muslim ghetto of Gujarat and the character needs to possess a certain look,” media reported.
Mahira was already very famous in Pakistan, especially after her role as Khirad in the hit drama serial ‘Humsafar’ won the hearts around the world. The people in India are also awe struck by Mahira Khan’s beauty and talent and her fan club is increasing day by day.
The fresh pairing of King Khan and Pakistani beauty Mahira Khan is definitely worth waiting for. The movie is expected to hit theatres in July 2015.
