Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has topped the list of most searched Bollywood actors on Google this year, followed by another Khan, Shahrukh Khan.
The third Khan, Aamir missed out on the top ten, despite enormous buzz around his upcoming release ‘PK’ and the success of third season of Satyamev Jayate.
According to media reports, Salman Khan, who started 2014 with the success of ‘Jai Ho’, was in news for more than his films throughout 2014. The case to his patch up with arch rival Shahrukh Khan, Salman grabbed headline through and through. Shahrukh Khan, released ‘Happy New Year’ though slammed by critics, broke several records at the box-office in India and abroad.
Bollywood actors continued to be the most searched personality including actors like Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan etc.
Google’s Year in Search also reflected the year’s top news moments that captured the world attention. In addition to historic wins; the important interesting issues and the death of important personalities, the demand of new technologies and information and the mystery like ‘Malaysia Airlines 370’ generated curiosity.
