KARACHI: Bollywood versatile actress Vidya Balan has been famous for her different and difficult roles in movies like ‘Kahaani’, ‘Dirty picture’, ‘Parineeta’ and ‘Ishqiya’. Now her one of a movie is getting a Hollywood remake.
According to media reports, “Vidya Balan-starrer ‘Kahaani’ is getting a Hollywood version in ‘Deity’ with Niels Arden Oplev of ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ fame attached to direct the Yash Raj Films project for international audience”.
The Hollywood version of ‘Kahaani’ will be scripted by Jose Rivera (The Motorcycle Diaries) and Richard Regen (Tehran).
Director of ‘Kahaani’ Sujoy Ghosh said in an interview to Indian media, “The new script by Jose Rivera and Richard Regen is perfectly suited for the Western audience and what I am really looking forward is to see Niels direct this version”.
Film is expected to go on-floor from February 2015.
