ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch has said meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari was a positive move by leadership of both parties for progress of the country.
He said the meeting would show some better results in future besides further strengthening the Parliament.
Talking to PTV, he said that both the parties should work together for the prosperity of the country and termed the meeting a good omen for the future of the Parliament.
The democratic parties always discuss the issues and overcome their differences for the sake of democracy and national interest, he added.
Abdul Qadir said the continuity of democracy is the only solution for development, uplift and prosperity of the country.
Replying to a question regarding Protection of Pakistan Ordinance (PPO), he said it will provide protection and facilitate the masses of the country, make strong institutions and eradicate terrorism.
He said that national security is imperative for economic growth of the country.
The minister said all the institutions should work together for betterment of the country, adding future of Pakistan linked with democracy, rule of law and stable economy.
