imageISLAMABAD: Some 35,986 Adult Literacy Centres have imparted education to 882,551 illiterate learners including 90 percent female from 2009 to 2013, National Assembly told on Monday.

State Minister for Education, Training and Standards in Higher Education Engineer Baleeg ur Rehman said.

Any 10,937 Feeder Teachers provided multigrade teaching services to 300,000 children in which 135000 were male students and 165000 are female students.

National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) helped 14,050 people in provision of skill development training (300 in Khyber Agency and 13,750 in Sindh province).

In the country 5884 Feeder Schools are operational where 6451 Feeder teachers are placed and providing multigrade teaching to students.
