The countdown has begun to the eagerly awaited ICC World Twenty20 clash, which kicks off at 6:30 pm PST, between traditional rivals Pakistan and India.
Former 1992 World Cup winning captain Imran Khan have high hopes for Pakistan and says the team should keep their spirits high during the match.
“If you go into a big match against India afraid, you will lose," the Mid-day.com quoted Imran as saying.
The cricketer-turned-politician reckons Pakistani team have more experienced and in-form players than India.
"On Friday, Pakistan's team should go out thinking they can win the match. We have a more balanced and experienced side than the Indians,” he added.
Khan says in order to ensure victory the team needs to adapt an aggressive approach, which he claims has always proved beneficial against India.
"This policy always worked for us against India. And in T20 cricket there is no other way to play," he was quoted as saying by Mid-day.com.
Khan believes Shahid Afridi is the key player in the team who can bat and bowl equally well.
